Will using unbalanced cables between balanced output and input (of an amplified monitor) result in less details / headroom ?
My line is very quiet even with unbalanced cables... but it any of the "content" of the source gets lost when not using balanced cables ?
Only if your equipment has balanced outputs and balanced inputs. Otherwise you are inviting trouble. Get a good cable (I prefer foil shield over braid in fixed installations)! E
