I dont know where else to post this. I want to build a mixer, amp, EQ.. I would like to have everything in one case. Should I equalize my signal, then amplify.. or equalize my amps output?
Thanks for the replies. I got to thinking today at work.. Amplification should be the last stage.

Many of us here are self-taught. When I was learning in the 1950s, well, we didn;t have an internet. But I did learn one thing I can pass along: if you sit there in your underwear building amplifiers, you WILL get solder burns on your thighs.

You should definitly perform any form of EQ before the amps, take a look at DSP's (like the ones from Hypex or MiniDSP), could be interesting for you.
