May I ask why?Should I remove the resistor to re-balance the frequency response?
Because I assumed the 6 ohm woofer would be more sensitive than the 8 ohm. Subsequently, I thought reducing the resistance of the tweeter may balance things out. However, on further thought, I realised the change in impedance of the woofer will affect the crossover frequency so . . . bygones.May I ask why?
Sometimes, but not necessarily.I assumed the 6 ohm woofer would be more sensitive than the 8 ohm.
Second order tends to be more stable on the frequency. Here's an example with and without the resistor and it's a little more predictable than changing the impedance on 1st order.the change in impedance of the woofer will affect the crossover frequency
