Short list of DIY tube amps with PCBs available...

Could you all help me create a short list of DIY tube designs where PCBs (and preferably documentation as well) are available? I'm interested in a building a small (in size and in power, <10W) stereo amp to accompany my Fostex FE103E's. I've liked the size and price of the ASL Wave 8s, which aren't available for sale anymore. Can anyone think of any DIY designs that are very similar to the Wave 8s?

tubesandmore.com sells small PCB based amp kits. They have an 8W mono for $90 and an 8W stereo with attenuator for $140.

Plitron.com sells PCBs for 70-100W EL-34 amp designed by Menno Vanderveen, seemingly meant to go along with Plitron's matching power and output transformers.

...but if you want a PCB and some instructions for the Svetlana circuit, just give me a week or two and send me a cheque 🙂

I believe that circuit was based on the Sansui 500 output stage, and the Sansui is a great sounding amp (my mother has one). The circuit is simple, so drawing a PCB wouldn't take long...

Best regards,

Mikkel C. Simonsen

Thank you all for your replies, I learned a lot. I think I've decided that I need to pick a design that is simple enough to complete without a PCB. I wasn't aware that tube amplifiers could involve so few components.

Does anyone know where I could see an implementation of the Svetlana 6BM8? Any comments on it's performance?
