I am going to build pair of four or six driver line array using FaitalPRO 3FE25. Something like RCF EVOX 8. Should I make straight box or put some drivers to different vertical angle? Crossover to bassbox would be around 200 Hz.
depends what kind of vertical coverage angle you want. A six driver array is a minimum of 486 mm tall so you can expect vertical coverage angle to narrow above ~400Hz if each element of the line is driven with the same signal and they are in a vertical line. I would make a straight box with separate compartments for each driver and fit small DSP controlled amplifiers to each driver so the array is reconfigurable and time delays are available to change the virtual position.
I was hoping to make something simple. 🙂 Separate compartments are ok. I could also make three two driver pieces and adjust angles.
