Hi Dave,
Wanted to thank you for recommending the Seas Fa22, it really is very nice sounding but a little forward sounding when compared to my tweaked Coral
flat 8. Been playing with phase plug & what caught me by surprise is the lenght of the phase plug affects the sound greatly.

1/ The phase plug does a couple things: fills the holeleft after you remove the dustcap.
2/ the PP will block any waves traveling across the cone. Thus pushes those rsonances up at least an octave and much of it is redirected forward.

+1. Wishful thinking, or maybe that's for 2 speakers?Their stated 90db efficiency leaves me scratching my head though.

Hard to grasp that even the lenght of the PP affects the sound so much.1/ The phase plug does a couple things: fills the holeleft after you remove the dustcap.

Btw I also played with installing a ball at the tip of the PP, now this affect dispersion
as well, here size matters Lol. Pinpong ball too big cuts too much of highs away.
Thanks again Dave
