The project I'm currently working on uses a simple lm3886 amp circuit. This powers a small horn driver. The horn driver, when installed in the casing, is placed about 1 cm abover the lm3886 circuit board. That is, the magnet of the horn driver is 1 cm abover the circuit. The magnet is only about 4 or 5 cm in diameter. Is this layout , with the magnet so close to the board, going to give me trouble? Should I shield the horn driver from the circuit board? The lm3886 chip itself is about 1 to 2 cm to the side of the magnet attached to the heat sink.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hi blabley,
The magnetic field should not cause misoperation of your amplifier circuit, but it will add a sound flavour to the resultant.
Try it and experiment.
