Hi,
It's not in the spec sheet for CSS's (deep bang for your box litres) SDX7
http://www.creativesound.ca/pdf/CSS-SDX7-data-261207.pdf
but am I right that it's shielded, while Peerless' XLS 12 and (deleted) CSX10 (850146), and Adire Shivas are not?
Thanks

It uses a neodymium magnet structure which is inherently shielded - it does not require a separate bucking magnet.
Thanks SoftDome
And I’d guess that the magnets in normal tweeters are sufficiently weak that they can be placed near CRTs, say 12” or 30 cm away, without problems?
Cheers

Het otto,
Well I guess it depends on the tweeter, but 12" should be OK for most. If the tweeter you're interested in doesn't come in a shielded version and there are CRT problems, all is not lost - you can buy shielding magnets and attach them with epoxy - JB Weld is excellent for this. But don't bother if you don't have to.

You're very welcome!
