Shield grounding

I have some 20 AWG, 2 wire, shielded with mesh. After I hook up the 2 wires to the RCA to board input, should I also grnd the shield, or just leave it floating?

In this case, the shield should be grounded to the chassis at a quiet point,
by one end only, typically the input end.
