I have a sharp xge3000u projector that I got off ebay. Had worked for about 20 hours. Now it will blow the internal fuse and does not work. I have tried a different bulb ( @ $350.00 ) but still does the samething. I did call sharp but they would not tell me anything they just wanted me to send it in with a blank check more or less.
Does anyone know if it can be fixed for a reasonable $$$$$ 😕🙁

projectors are big systems and will cost you big bucks unless you could get a
friend who has service experience and willing to spend his time for a friend ,low cost repair is highly unlikely, and from what youve said so far sounds like a costly repair

I was trained at Sharp on the earlier models. What I can tell you is that there is also a timer for bulb life that needs to be reset also. This means a Sharp warranty shop for service. Have them record the run time in case it's well over what was claimed on Eeek bay.
Also, the bulb must not have any finger grease of any kind on it. It will explode otherwise in time. Tell the service agent everything you did. If you are honest and forth coming, they should treat you fairly. If you hold back information, expect to pay more.
Since you bought a new bulb, the rest of the repair may not be too bad. They do have a board exchange program (fixed cost no matter the fault for a board assy.). I used to do board level repairs, your fault does not mean it's an expensive repair, it could be or not. You may have been further ahead to take the entire thing in at the start in case you didn't need a bulb.
