yes, but i suppose new screens have brightness control... i think maybe it is important to have as screen with hight brightness control as well as high brightness and true colors...
Re: Sam opinion as gregory
I'm glad you said almost all Infocus, because I have a Powerview 820, which is virtually silent and highly transmissive.
It is an awesome panel, despite being only native SVGA (although does compressed XGA). Colours, response time are good + many other good aspects to it.
I agree wholeheartedly with your opinion on the Proximas - I had a couple and thought they were generally good panels (better than the nView Spectra C IMHO), but the Proxima Ovations 810,822C are let down by their very loud cooling fans that almost drown out the dialogue in a movie!
Just my two cents....

that's almost my opinion to.
The ASK Panels are the quiet panels i ever had,
the Sharps are wellnow, a little bit noisy.
The Nviews are rare (except the spectra) and very stable !
Almost all Infocus are crappy.. slow, low colors and so on...
But the proxima ovations are good and loud thats bad too...
If i say you one thing.
IF you can get a ASK Panel (Impact 21,24,WSX) then GET IT.
That*s the best choice in my opinion.
Greetings
Bernhard
