I have a QA-1800 panel that I plan to use to build a RPTV but I don't know if it is good enough or if I need to get a QA-2100. Does anyone have experiance with the QA-1800, and if so does it make a good panel for a diy projector? And does anyone know how I can get a remote for it?
I think the qa-1800 is super nice???
I think the qa-1800 is second only to the qa-2500, and when you balance cost vs performance I'd take the 1800, the native resolution on the panel is 800x600, and there's s-video input.
so if you are using a pc with tv out on your video card, and software called TV tool, you can select resolution to 1024x768, and it uses the entire lcd and a crisp image.
anyways I know everyone wants to use the vga input, but I myself have found it's better for me to use the s input
also the contrast and colors on the qa-1800 are the same is 2500, and I couldn't justify 150 more for the qa 2500
If I saw the qa-1800 for 200 on ebay, and it had a buy it now, I would do it, but would never pay 300 or more for the 2500(id pay 500 for the samsung 150mp, and build a case for it first
not saying I don't like the qa-2500, just think the going rate they cost is a little inflated for a used panel
