Sharp QA-1650 . . . Broken? See Pics...

I just wanted to check here first to make sure I purchased a bum lcd.
I bought a Sharp QA-1650 on Ebay (Buy-It-Now $100) powers up fine but seems to have a problem displaying vertical lines. In fact,
every other vertical line is dark. This is true for the sharp logo image as well as the vga from my computer. See photos here:

However these intermitent lines seem to be functional. When i switch to rear projection mode, the right 2/3rds look as they should, (i assume). I have tried two power supplies with the same result. Any help would be great before i unleash my "negative feedback."

I've seen gamecube screenes have that same problem.
I think it is called "screenburn"

Carefully take out the flex cables and put them back in their sockets, it could be just a crappy connection on a flex cable.

*Update*
I wrote a letter to the seller and was able to return this panel for a refund. 🙂
I am currently using a Proxima Ovation 810, which is ok but really loud. I am trying again with another QA-1650 from ebay. . . fingers crossed.
Anyone want to buy an Ovation 810?
