SHARP LM64C35P 10.4" passive colour LCD

I recently picked up 2 of these on "garbage day" at work.
One has a sticker on the back that reads "GOOD - USED 1600HRS". I can't remember where, but I read somewhere on the net that this panel should last approx. 10000HRS. The other one appears to be brand new but has a tiny shallow scratch in the lower corner. (which would be "offscreen" of any letterboxed program)

The dilemma - what to do?

I don't have any sort of controller for them, so I can't test them. I am not confident enough (that they will work), to buy a $250usd controller for them.

So what do you guys think? Sell them "As Is"? Do you know where I could get them tested? Do you know of a cheap controller for a panel like these?

Any comments, warnings or opinions would be appreciated.

This is your panel.
Lifter is correct.
No good for projector, too slow for full motion video, not enough colours

Some guys on "Google LM64C35P" > groups
buy and sell that panel for laptop screen replacement.

Extracted from guy selling one in groups
Colour LCD display from laptop computer. The display is a SHARP model
LM64C35P, and is 10.4" diagonal, 640x480 pixels, 256 colour. Originally
came out of a CTX EzBook laptop, but may fit other laptops as well.
Condition unknown, but looks to be physically okay - glass is intact, and
all wiring and connectors seem to be there. $20 obo.

Boo!:bawling:

Well, I wasn't really thinking of using it as a projector. I was thinking more like an old computer based mp3 player or something like that.(that wouldn't require full-motion)

Thank you for your comments, guys.

I probably will just sell them because I already have 4+ projects going already...
