sorry to bring bad news..
Sorry to pop your bubble....the sharp panels with LM are DSTN LCD panels. Very slow response times and poor colour palletes usually. The LQ panels are nice I just got mine running tonight and am very pleased. At least you had your panel..I bought an LM panel .. at least it was dirt cheap. Now I have a sharp LQ121S1DG11 fed by a Spectrah Ld S270M LCD controller card. If you can give more detail on the "controller" you got from the laptop I'd be glad to see what I can find out ( no promises ) I'd be interested to know if the "guts" from a laptop will work in this area (we know the screen will.. the rest is mystery) Pictures? part or model numbers?

did some googling
I looked around and can confirm that this is a DSTN screen, I doubt very much that it would make you happy. Have you opened up the panel? (removed the backlight) I am willing to bet you have circuit boards that cover part of the screen attached by ribbon cables.

There isn't a circuit board covering the back...there are two lenses, a plexiglass backing, and then, sadly the ribbon cable snapped (boo hoo) dont really care, will opt for a new panel...maybe an nview or sony, or one like yours...it is really a lost cause, because the lcd is really a pos...why would i want one with bad refresh rates...If there are any fun things i can do with it, pls tell me.
