Shallow waveguide with compression driver?

Since you are already discuss about dcx464 and waveguides I have one question if its not a problem to post it here.

It would fit purpose of my design to use Arcs Wifo 12" wst waveguide on a dcx464 but am not sure if they would work good together and dc464 would need work down to 500-600hz.

I guess wifo 12" is crossed at about 1khz to CD on that waveguide so am a bit sceptical.
There is b&c me148 waveguide, but its not tall enough for my design.

I vaguely (likely not exactly correct numbers) remember from a magazine article that for the mid diaphragm in the BMS 4591 the Sd is 60cm2 and the Xmax is 1mm.

The voice coil diameter in the DCX464 is smaller, so let's guess the Sd is 50cm2, just for sake of an example, and say want to limit excursion to 0.8mm.

This is the SPL calculation for a given Sd and Xmax:

Multiply p by 2 for half space (flat infinite baffle). A box simulator would plot the same SPL when driving a woofer with the same Sd to the given excursion. For example selecting SB12RNX25-4 (not rolled off at 500Hz) in Vituix Enclosure Tool driven with 28V for approx. 0.81mm excursion, it's approx. 108.6 dB SPL.

So this would be the SPL if the driver was mounted on a (very large) flat baffle, right? Now if some amount of boost from the WG at the frequency of interest could be guessed just based on the WG's parameters, that would be added on top, and the baffle loss at LF should be also accounted for.

I guess that was never intended for being used alone. I.e. you should use it either in multiples or put an extension waveguide in front of it. There was aguy on a German forum who performed a series of measurements with different divers on different horns. One of his combinations was a DCX464 on a ME90 horn. Depending on your needs that would probably go low enough.

Am not looking for home use, but to build fixed curvature line array like Lacoustic Arcs.
Designed like q1 from d&b but to use double 12" and dcx464 between. So am looking for suitable waveguide and best option would be one from Arcs if dcx464 could work on it.
Idea was to use side flange as waveguide extension but would be open from top and bottom, similar as Arcs A15.

This is waveguide, it has 30* vertical dispersion and horizontal depends on mouth flare extension.
