if I were making a FAST, which I have thought about, my first choice for a full range driver would be the tang band 1337 4 inch titanium:FAST ( FullRange assisted Subwoofer speaker)

I would use it in dipole configuration.
There are a couple of peaks in the treble that you’ll probably want to tame with DSP, and I would add a rear mounted tweeter. That will alleviate some of the 1337’s beaminess in the top 1-2 octaves.
I previously used it in a 60Hz back loaded horn and was very happy with it. This driver has incredible micro dynamics and is extremely detailed.
My god!! @P10 How is that nit picking important?They are 3” drivers.
dave
”Thye” should be ”They”.
By the way it’s more like a 2.73” driver 😝
Very cool design. A LOT of science and thought behandling these.
I like the more science less snake oil approach. 👍🏻⭐️
Refreshing!
@P10 Dont you think?

I 2nd the 1337.
Pricy to be sure, definitely notch the 2.5khz out, and the 10k+ if it bothers your ears.
