I am building a new 8-channel amp. 4 aleph 60's and 4 alep30's in one big case
It is an extention from my stereo-system to 5.1 (all active).
My question is;
As all 8 unbalaced inputs are connected to one active filter, so sharing the signalground, should I connect all powersupply ground (from all 8 Aleph's) to eachother? All 8 amps are in one case, should I consider it to be one amp or as 8 amps in one case? What's the best internal wiring? All seperate or all together?

with picture
so maybe will react faster😱
notice the cd for size reference
see build here;

let each stereo PSU have it's gnd connected to chassis via 10-20R NTC
that , with proper layout of power buses and input cables , will give you hum free operation.
hopefully

wow, that's a lot of heat to dissipate in one case...
my Aleph 2 mono blocks look about as big, when put side by side 🙂
good luck finishing it up!

zen mod; so all eight grounds seperately with 8 NTC's to chassis.
Can you explain why? thanks
@moe29
I will measure the heatsink for proper comparison

you said :
so - fact is that each PSU must be connected to safety gnd , same as case ;
if you connect those PSUs ( read - PSU grounds) ditto to safety gnd , you'll have gnd loop between inputs and PSU side gnds
when you connect those PSU gnds via 10-20R NTCs , that resistance is usually enough to avoid gnd loops
read Pass papers - there you'll find pretty clear and often humorous explanation for all important audio things

like this?

in the right lower corner, the thermistor?
From circuit and chassis ground to the NTC to the AC outlet ground.

sort of , but not exactly
look in F5 pdf , for instance
there are two NTC's - one in-line with mains (as soft start) , and another one between gnd and chasiis , which is directly on safety gnd

and I should do this will amps in the one case. All 8 gnd throught 8 ntcs to chassis/acgnd
Ok
thanks Zen Mod
Ok
thanks Zen Mod
when the total system is finished there will be 8 aleph60 and 8 aleph30 (and a 1500W AB sub-amp) working at once. That it why the lack of socks 😛
global warming? sorry my fault....

to quote Chocky "anyone can dim there own lights, real diyers dim their neighbors" or something like that.

What are you using for a power transformer(s)? What does it draw from the power grid?
all toroids.
Typical A60 draws 220W and a (singlechannel)A30 100W
So a total of 2560W plus the AB-amp plus sacd-player etcetc (so around 3kW)
All will be divided over 3 phase power
So I is a lot but not more than a hot-air-oven or a waterboiler or something like that...
ps the '1500W" ab-amp can draw 1500W from main but it is 2x400W@4Ohm, sorry for confusion
