Hello.
I purchased an INT-30A and unfortunately I need to fix a fault in the volume control. Unfortunately, the service center is not nearby and it is very difficult for me to move around.
I can't find a service manual anywhere, so please if someone can help me and provide me with a service manual.
Thank you for your help.

Service manuals are not available, so contact Pass Labs directly for assistance.

Good evening.
Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately it doesn't solve my problem.
I worked for 10 years as a service technician in SONY, so I can repair the equipment myself.
Good evening.

If you contact Pass Labs, they will be happy to assist you. But there are no service manuals available.
If you have the serial number or board revision numbers we should be able to supply whatever you need.
There isn’t really a service manual but schematics and board diagrams exist.

On the INT-30a the usual Rx is to re-flow the pads on the volume chip. The early lead free solder could leave a pin on the chip, high. A few minutes under a stereoscope at about 20X normally tells the tale
Thank you. I'll look into it this weekend. I would also like to check and adjust the voltage and current. Is there a setting procedure and parameter control?
Thank you.

Hello.
Going back to my PASS INT-30A amp again
I'm posting the SN to make it clear that this is my amp that I'm having a bit of trouble with.
I have a feeling that the previous owner probably had it repaired. I bought the amp on eBay.
With just a cursory look, I found out that there are transistors in the position of transistors Q10, Q9, Q14 and Q13 other than those that should be there according to the descriptions on the motherboard. It also seems to me that the parts were soldered.
According to the descriptions on the base plate, the following should be installed:
Q10 and Q14 - 2SJ108
Q9 and Q13 - 2SK370
According to my findings, however, it is equipped with:
Q10 and Q14 - 2SJ74
Q9 and Q13 - 2SK170
So I would like to ask if this is normal or if someone really had the amplifier repaired and installed other transistors (these types are probably more affordable).
If so, the amplifier is probably not set up correctly.
That's why I want to get a service manual, install the right parts and set it up correctly.
Thank you.

I suspect the k170/j74 parts are stock. From what I remember, the k170/j74 are the more capable versions of the 108/370. Pass Labs has a ton of them and likes to use them a lot.
Did you ever contact Pass Labs? Wayne is the designer that takes the lead on preamp related stuff and I believe Cyclotronguy is Kent English who deals with a lot of the customer related stuff which I think includes service. They are going to be your best bet. I would shoot Pass Labs an Email referencing this thread asking for some advice.
The parts are exactly the same inside just a different package. The ones you have are fine as we built them both ways.
What is the trouble?Hello.

Good day.
I am concerned with checking and setting work points. DC offset, and more. The amplifier is old, so I want to check it.
I measured the DC offset today:
Right channel: 5mV
Left channel: 15mV
All after warm up, no load and 0 volume.
I believe I can do this myself, I worked as a service technician for a long time.
If you can give me a recommendation for settings, I will be very happy.
Thank you
