Hi guys,
I'm looking for a service manual for a Marantz SR-50 I'm repairing for a friend, as I need to replace the power transistors and assume that the bias will need to be reset.
(I'd like the schematic too, because if the repairs don't work I might install some gainclone boards I have in place of the amplifier section, and I need to see how to integrate the amp with the source selector and tuner sections...)
I seem to remember a thread warning people off one of the service manual download sites.
Can anyome recommend a good supplier?
Cheers
Stuey

I bought several from them:

Thanks Jan. I think that's the one, but I'm not sure if there's a difference between the SR50 and SR50L. They look the same cosmetically.
Are the manuals only in German as well?

Jan, I've had a look in the site; I guess the one marked 'GB' is in English. Unfortunately, when i went to the purchase page, the page doesn't display in English (despite the site having the English flag button option, which isn't working).
I have another source, but if I have to I'll translate the checkout page to make sure the details I'm giving are correct!

Stuey,
The GB means that the manual is in English. I bought several from them and they were all in excellent quality. If you get stuck, sent me a private mail and I can probably order it for you.

Mike,
No, I really don't have many manuals, only for some of the equipment I own. But the ref I gave has almost all of them for reasonable prices. They are copies, but color and A3 format preserved where necessay. If you know the type I can check.

Hi Jan,
An update; I got a PDF version from Servicemanuals.co.uk.
For anyone's future reference, Maurice Small (proprietor) is easy to deal with and I received the email to enable a download from his site within 5 hours. Cost, GBP 6.
It is merely a scanned copy (obviously!) and not as good as the colour versions like those from Vintagemanuals, but it'll do the job.
Thanks again Jan.
