Now the thread is open to more serious bashing.
I must have done something wrong - perhaps I should be banned.

I am afraid, with this kind of thread, you have already partially banned yourself from being helped by many knowledgeable forum dwellers.as_audio said:... perhaps I should be banned.
My list of friends surely looks different.Yes. The ignore list is my friend.
Nobody asked him to divulge anything about the company or the product. He had an issue with a regulator, has published here the schematic, has fixed it, and refuses to tell us the fix. Clearly, the issue was the result of a stupid error of him he is too embarrassed to mention. Very childish.

Remarkable how a hostile atmosphere develops without any reason.
In fact I was not only implicitly asked to reveal "Brand name, schematics,
the issue ... Sharing = caring ... brand/type number".
I am not owner of the schematic. When a stranger asks you to show him
the details of your client, will you do so ? Do not have to justify myself in
this respect. I run two sites with vintage diagrams, sent tons of material
to HiFiEngine and helped many forum members ("my dog ate the schematic,
please send me a new one"). An Accuphase and an ADAM schematic thread
are on this forum. ADAM sold thousands of monitors equipped with s**y
Hypex modules, and I reply to inquiries from all over the world.
In post 10 I pointed out that LM317, 337 regulators on different boards,
not shown in the diagram of page 1, were the main culprit. I did not see
these, in small TO-92 transistor case, early enough. No need to tell anybody
here about the oscillation problems with 317 and especially 337. This has
been discussed in many places and Bob Pease devoted an own sub-chapter
in his book "Troubleshooting Analog Circuits" to this matter.
Never saw Jan D. attack ad personam before. Perhaps it was childish
that he asked me for a contribution to "Linear Audio" ? You should better
not speculate about any "stupid error" but surely know that I work as trouble
shooter for the high end business. Had to fix a creation of you also to make it
run, you know.
