I've been able to find plenty of information regarding building a resonance trap for the XT25 tweeter (to tame it's resonance at low frequencies, lower distortion etc), and I have built some loudspeakers using a series crossover and the HDS 5.5" woofer (shielded version).
The result sounds great to my ears but at higher volumes, the tweeter can sound a bit compressed. I'm wondering if a resonant trap would:
1. Make any appreciable improvement to the sound.
2. Be possible in a series crossover without infering with the tweeter / woofer response.
Any thoughts?
