Have you looked at the prices of diammonium phosphate recently, try pricing baltic fir in quantity.
This useless war has to stop NOW, it benefits NOBODY.
Adding gasoline to the fire will only make it hotter and last longer.
Not a "Political" post per se, just basic Economy 101, worldwide supply, Trade, etc.
Don´t even mention any Country by name, just saying those directly involved must sort their differences one way or the other between them, all others can/should only "watch" without making it worse.
And all must/should accept the end result, whatever it is, (what else?) and go back to working and trading , which was already quite bad for the last 2 years, no need to make it even MORE complicated.
Many of us are already being hit and damaged by all these new problems.

Just a couple years ago I could order all the chips I wanted and they'd arrive sometimes 3 days later. Now I see projected lead times sometimes up to a year. Price shock is a factor too.
I really never thought I'd see this happen again. It's a good thing I stocked up a year ago but I always have to order stuff at least once every six weeks or so. I always had an order pending and kept adding to it until I needed something on it. Now I'm designing around what I already have in stock. My "order pending" at Mouser is mostly stuff that isn't available for months. Best not ask about the price.

It is NOT looking good, at all, if even World´s largest car manufacturer (Toyota) has to give up on basic Electronics:

they can NOT deliver "smart" car keys and are going back to basic mechanical ones. 😱

Toyota customers in Japan will receive a mechanical key instead of a “smart” version when they purchase new vehicles, Reuters reported on Thursday.
I leave my key on the dashboard, at home.I guess it still happens in rural America 🙂
At least in the smaller towns.
At the store I put it in my pocket, but can't remember the last time I locked an empty car.
