Would anyone know where I can find semi-conducting tape, or semi-conducting material, for example the "conductive thermoplastic" which is used in guitar leads?

To answer my own post, I found some 3M 13 tape from a retailer in Tolworth (ETS Cable Components | Tolworth KT6 7QD).
But I am looking for more such, semi-conducting materials, even ceramics, if you know of any, and where I can get them?

I think using the term "semi-conducting" might confuse a google search or other searches. Semi-conducting has a specific meaning. I think what you want would be called "conductive."
Or do I misunderstand your need?
If you are looking to shield something, there are many options. Inside a guitar, the electronics area is usually shielded with a foil of some sort grounded to the jack. IN amplifier head cabinets, the open side of the amp chassis sits against the cabinet wall, which is covered with foil or sheet metal or even metal screening. Peavey uses a conductive black paint inside their heads for the purpose. Their parts departtment would probably sell you some or tell you who produces it. Static-free work surfaces are made with conductive material. And many electronic components come in anti-static conductive packaging or have their leads poked into conductive foam. Not much for shielding, but conductive for static charges.
If we knew your application, other materials might suggest themselves.

The material will be used to create, or to cover, two metal electrodes. The reason we need to cover the metal electrodes is that otherwise they will electrolyse the skin. So we need to cover the electrodes, but not insulate them completely. Actually we need a mild resistance.
Some typical values, over a surface of 2.5 cm^2 we need a resistance of about 900 Ohms.

Well, "conductive" covers a range of conductivity.
DO you have any of that black foam that integrated circuits come pushed into? See if that is conductive enough.
ANy chance a metal electrode would work if an actual resistor were added in series? Or is it a chemical reaction that concerns you?

OK, we just left any area of my experience.
When I enter a new area, I often look at people already doing similar things for inspiration. Are there commercially available products that remotely do similar things to your activities? ANd could they suggest materials or approaches?
Or is that what you are doing here already?
I don;t know what they do with them,but I often see Grass Labs polygraph type eguipment at the local university surplus outlet. WOUld interface gear like they use be of value? Would local hospital electronics tech use anything that might apply to you?
