Figure best to keep the questions separate and to the point, correct?
Another learning opportunity: understanding the purpose and how to specify a LED. Looking on Mouser I was overwhelmed with the plethora of choices. How does one choose?
Thanks in advance! 🙂
PS A generous member provided a link and the webpage has a quote over the whole page, trippy how applicable it is "Failure is an option here. If things arent failing, you arent innovating enough.” Elon Musk

Since it's just a power indicator, it doesn't matter at all. Pick the colour you like and run with it. Adjust the value of R13 to adjust the brightness to your liking.
I appreciate your help, thank you. 🙂
Now I see what you mean and why R13 rated at 1/4W compared to the others.
Yup. In fact, R13 and the LED are "optional parts"... You can leave them out if you want - you just won't have an LED for the power 🙂
Ah, I have heard sometimes used in the circuit for some purpose, forget now, do appreciate coming back and providing additional information. 😀 If serves no benefit other than an indicator, I myself choose green, being seems more logical and my favorite color. 😛
Green it is. 1k resistor will probably be fine. 5k1 if it's an "ultra bright" since they are blinding with even microamperes of current.
Ha. Yes, I am light sensitive, largest bulb in the home is 40 watts equivalent at the sewing machine, rest 25 watts.
Maybe while I wait an hour plus for the doctor tomorrow, research nano lumens. 😛 (Being late night silly...)
