Hello,

I am in the process of looking for a good regulated power supply for my DAC buffer opamp circuit. I am using a bacic 7815/7915 circuit but I want something that will give outstanding performance.

I know there are several designs out there, but what I want to know is which ones you guys have tried and heard improved sound quality.

Thanks,

Lawrence

I am using the Jung super-regulator with a pair of Analog Devices AD825's. If you want to use ready-made boards you can purchase them from Old Colony Sound -- (AudioXpress) -- I have a retroffited supply in my Adcom GFP565 using the super-reg.

The OCS boards are set up for through-hole devices, so you need an aries adapter for the AD825. I found that using the through-hole version of the Linear Technologies LT1115 was just about the same. Some folks who had built the regulator had oscillation problems with the AD797 -- all is discussed on the super-regulator threads.

Per Anders is the keeper of the Super Reg thread ! http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20937&perpage=25&highlight=&pagenumber=21

He may also have boards for sale fro a surface mount super-regulator.\=:
