Hi all...
Well after a lot of looking at what drivers are avaliable to me, im thinking seriously about getting a pair of each to make up some smallish (~12L) bass reflex speakers.
Has anyone had experience with these drivers? have any advice to give? etc?
These are expensive drivers over here and im not loaded with $$s, so i want to get these speakers right the first time.
Thanks.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Well, I like your woofer choice. They are impressive drivers, however I fear that your tweeter will not be able to keep up. Seas recently brought out several new models of tweeters that use a lot of technology trickeled down from the Excel line drivers. If you dont' have measurement equipment handy I suspect thhe Seas 27TDFC will work well for you, if you can get a hold of it down under.
I've used the 27TDC (without ferrofluid) and I like it a lot! The reason I don't suggest the 27TDC without measurement gear is that the higher impedance peak because of the lack of ferrofluid makes it slightly harder to work with.

I'm not a big fan of any of Seas non chambered tweeters, aluminum or soft dome. That's just a personal opinion though, so take that for what it's worth.
Are you totally sold on Seas tweeters? Can you get other brands? The Morel MDT-22 and MDT-30 are very good, and would probably be a good match. So is the Peerless 812978, and it's shielded as well.
The Seas Excel motor exhibits very low intermodulation distortion, and the 27TDC, Peerless 812978 are a couple of the budget tweeters I've seen with distortion numbers that could possibly keep up. The expensive tweeters that can seem to be any of the Excel tweeters and the 9500/9700/9900 from Scan Speak.
From what I've seen the older Seas models (chambered or not) are higher in distortion than the newer tweeters. They are a definate step down from the tweeters I mentioned above. (They aren't bad tweeters, it's just with newer options out there you should look around a little more.) The budget choices mentioned above are real jems as far as objective and subjective performance goes.

This tweeter it seems i can get, and the shielding will be a bonus.
