Hello, first time poster.
I finally roasted a tweeter on my pair of Pro 22 speakers.
I was thinking that since I'm getting a Minidsp with Dirac anyway maybe I could drop in the Seas tweeters then cross them over with the DSP.
At a glance the specs don't seem far off:
SEAS Excel T25CF-002 (E0011) Millennium Tweeter
Energy is 86dB efficient, 8Ohms? with a 1500Hz xover
I know the Seas tweeter is worth far more than the speakers but I'd like to use it because it's in the DeVore Orangutan's. So rather than wasting $600 I look at it as saving $7400.

Welcome to the forums.
What about this (much cheaper) solution: Energy 22 Pro Reference Connoisseur Replacement Tweeters (Dayton DC28F) | eBay

You could integrate it. But maybe the Excel its too much of an expenditure for mating with a late 70s style polyprop woofer. The humble Dayton one they sell with those baffle adapters is a good enough choice IMHO. Also avoiding a heavy $ casualty if mistreated while developing your DSP skills with it.
