Crossover points are approx. 140 and 1450 hz (2,5 way)

I do not recommend this speakers for small rooms and small amps.
(Example: Nad C390DD missed the guts, sounding "ungroovy" in this combination).

I would not call a 150 wpc amplifier small.

Normally not, maybe the Zetex chip don't deliver the necessary current in this case? Anyway, the Mac tubes (100W) was a better engine providing power and involvement.

My suspicions go to the Analogic to Digital (DAC'S and class D amps?) and DSP synthetic sound, as is most common in this type of technology. 😱
