I'd like to know what @ThorstenL original Gainclone was like.
Schematic, please.
Thanks!
@Peter Daniel built it, too

I get it is the same circuit for LM3875.
But building it with LM1875 is certainly a good option as well.

This must be it
It's from fedde's page about his implementation which he calls Thor-amp
He also opened a thread here in Diyaudio

My first GC build beyond a dead bug test using the app notes was an IGC from the Decibel Dungeon site, which I believe was based on a circuit by Peter Daniel. Obviously, that circuit followed this thread and it was dead simple. I'm not sure if any of the "improved" GCs or IGCs I built afterwards were actually an improvement. PtP constructed, 3.3uF at the input, a bit more capacitance in the PS with only 100uF at the pins and maybe I just got lucky, but the background was dead quiet over a pair of 94db fostex BiBs and quite impressive to me( take that with a shaker of salt).
Those two channels are within arms reach and I really should fire them up and have a listen after all these years.
