Thanks to everyone for the download manual ability.

I am a victim of modern technology, and my stereo gear has been pilfered for the surround system. I realised the other day, that the CR 52 SE as sitting in the area where the amp/surround tuner is. We don't much listen to DVDs in that area. But I thought I might try it out.

My wife has "suggested" I clean up and sell my gear - and its not worth me doing it I think.

I've got a Quad 405 amp and 404 pre amp upstair, along with a Nakamichi 482, and a Logic DM101 turntable. There's a nakamichi doby "C" unit there too. And a NAD tuner (I forget which one it is). All have been very little used.

Downstairs the KEF sub-base unit runs the surround woofer work. It runs of what I bought with the TV - a Pioneer VSXAX4AVI video tuner/amp. Although the power supply is weak on them, it can bi-amp, which allowed me to bi-amp my Spendor S20s for the front L & R speakers. I put a Nakamichi 5 (or is it a three?) CD players which has two speakers as part of its kit, onto the wall below the 50 " Pioneer Plasma, and I bought some Swedish tower speakers for the behind (I don't even know their name but they were reduced and were made in Sweden if one believes labels). They are shiny black but my wife would not allow me to have them fact the corner, so they face out which would lower the surround because they are close to where you sit. The surround though is great - the system corrected the clean Nakamichi sound with the warmer Spendors, and it all works great.

Now I am thinking about getting the 52 to work, by connected it to the amp. There is a digital out on it, or I could use the analogue cables ... Does anyone know the best way to wire it to the surround amp?

If I should it sounds better than the PS3, and that the Quad is worthless (it is in Australia which surprised me), then maybe I'll be able to get a historical area where I can get the whole lot back to together ... if I did that though, I'd have to get a cross over for the Spendors, as one went. That bi-amping nicely removed that problem ...

Any help would be appreciated!
