I think you will need to provide a lot more information about WHAT kind of materials and applications you are interested in getting expertise about before anyone gets back to you. Housing thickness? That sounds more like something that a mechanical engineer could help you with.

My guess is a mechanical engineer with speaker design experience and the ability to do 3D modeling and FEM analysis of vibrational modes of structures. Constrained layer damping (CLD), bracing, and use of non-parallel walls will solve many problems.
