If the 332 is similar to the 334 I think theres a chinese copy difting around. The 334 uses an opamp as first stage, nothing special about this amp, except the name that you pay big bucks for, many diy designs here will top it in sound quality if the same quality components are used. Complexity beast.

firstly you havent heard a no.332, secondly you assume that its the same as a 334. Thirdly you assume that because it uses an opamp its not as good as many diy designs, can you name a couple of diy designs that you might have listened to or built that you claim will top the sound of the no.332?

I listened to a 332 for a few years ago and I must say it was one of the amps I liked.
It was not harsh and power was there.
When looking inside I got a bit disappointed, 10 grand for a bipolar transistor amp 🙁

A little later I had a friend asking me to fix his (was oscillating).
A guy who had serviced these before said he was pretty sure it is dried out caps.
He said ML is very sensitive regarding caps.
Never got to fix it, friend disappeared and I haven't heard about him since 🙂

This is a shame, a 10k€ amp lasting less than 10 years and needing 800€ of caps + some work.
I also recall it was not running hot, some adaptive bias thing, I guess that is smart if you get good sound with low heat though 🙂

These can be had for 3k€ working and apparently there is a 332.5 broken for 1500€ here in Finland 🙂
I would buy it but the guy is impossible to deal with 🙂
