I find the "elastic search" problematic for a number of reasons (and I am certainly not alone).
Here are already two issues I find annoying:
-I didn't find a way to search for the threads started by a specific member in a specific forum
-The number of results of a search is limited, and bypassing the limit isn't easy or straightforward
