Search in thread failed

Hi,

I tried to search for RCA in the Yarra group buy thread. It failed to find anything, even though I was on a page with a post that had the string "(RCA".

Searches using the inbuilt MySQL full text search must be > 3 characters in length. This will be addressed when we move to our new forum platform and switch to using something an order of magnitude more powerful such as ElasticSearch.

Elastic search is expensive. Will you have a second VPS just to support that, or do you disagree on the resource impacts? Btw, i tend to do enhanced views just to search a thread.
