The PSE 6sn7/6sn7 pictured a page back still has survived after selling a 300B PPamp, SET 45 of high quality, etc, etc. It is in constant use as a bedroom system with ADS 2-way= L690's. I run it direct off my tuner, wide open. Simple PSEwith 10k plate load on front 6sn7's in Parrallel w/ a single 560ohm/220mfd for bias @ 237v B+ w/ 3k 4/8 ohm OT's The parallel 6sn7 outputs have a bias of 1k/220mfd also @ 237v B+. 100k grid leak w/ .25uf coupler. Tubes have been common GE 6sn7 GTB & ran ever night for years now. Has something going for it for sure. I would not build another SET 45. Seems to simple & very non audiophile, but who cares for a near field bedroom system .

Low Power 6SN7 Project Circuit

Does a nice job driving headphones and speakers in a small room for casual listening at a decent level. Nice thing about using these low power amps is you can run them for hours and not run up your electric bill, good for background listening. The 6SN7 puts out a nice sound, I ran the prototype built amplifier for several months driving bookshelf speakers.
