HI,
ANY OF THE GANG HAVE ANY TUBE POWER SUPPLY?
FLORIDA
REGARDS,
ASHBY
What exactly are you asking? Many of us have one or more tube supplies of various sorts.. I have 4 tube based bench supplies I use for designing and evaluating new electronics, and my system runs on complex regulated tube supplies mostly on separate chassis from what they are powering.
Please turn your caps lock OFF as that is considered SHOUTING.. 😀
Hey Ashby, what kind of tube power supply do you need. I probably have something you can use. Last I heard you were building mosfet amps running off of batteries.

I just picked up a really trashed out C-481 for the oil caps inside. The power supply is a big potted hermetically sealed thing and I would be happy to talk with anybody who has one that is not working. This does not have a letter after the 481 so it must be an A model. The PS is going out in the garage with the chassis model and serial # taped to it. Out of curiosity I stuck it on the scale. 25.8 lbs! Any ideas of what is in those things other than the windings? Half the weight of the Lamda is that huge potted monster.
The chassis is already waiting for the metal pickers on the curb.
Too bad all those 6L6s were gone, but the oil caps and the clamps that hold them down is what I was after. I'll go ahead and pull the sockets and toss them in a box my wife will have to deal with hopefully a long journey down the Trail of Fire Bottles from here.
I bought another one that has a pair of 6Y6Gs on it and it really looks like a PP mono block, but is a lower power. 200-325VDC and 0-100ma. No cord, you run the 125 onto a terminal strip and take the DC out the other taps on it, looks like you can adjust the input under the strip and there are a couple of pots you can adjust in front of the 2 transformers. Model 28, has that 40s look. All the tubes are in this one, but I think it is probably better to just look at this unless I want to rebuild it.
Has anybody ever tried truck bed paint (black) as a sub for the old black crackle?
Happy Trails!

Do you indeed have a manual or a copy of it? if so what is your asking price? I am assuming it is of the Dressen Barnes - Electronic Corporation : Model 62-117I am sure I have a manual. Maybe you want to buy mine!
I am still interested in selling the power supply. It should be great for testing tube amplifiers, transmitters, and so on. Great for design work or testing, such as checking out an amplifier with a damaged power supply. If you put the two main outputs in series you can get up to 800 V, just fine for running high power stuff up to a couple hundred watts.
