He remains critical, has lesions on his brain and is an induced coma.
They operated on him once to relieve pressure.
So far they have no idea if he'll survive and recover but had he not worn a helmet he would certainly be dead.

This seems like Sonny Bono all over again.......crash & burn in the white stuff.

I'll pray for him, for giving him the strength necessary in his path to recovery.
He was just down hill skiing with his son.
He was just down hill skiing with his son.
He was just down hill skiing with his son.
True but he was skiing off-piste and while they had a little snow there it was also very windy so the snow cover was entirely unpredictable resulting in Michael hitting his head on a rock.
I'll pray for him, for giving him the strength necessary in his path to recovery.
Me too.

Boy, I have been skiing for over 30 years and should have wound up with something going wrong but thankfully, nothing like this..
Hope for the best
Sonny & Cher .. Sonny died a log time ago in a skiing accident as I recall..
We really should be wearing a helmet, but this sport just doesn't reflect the need for one overall.
I rarely see skiers with them
Sincerely
David
