I have bought me a Marantz CD40 in perfect order for my I2S project.
To make this player as good as possible regarding this task I could use a manual/ schematic.
Thanks
Lyra

The not one and only
Phil CD50 and SAA7220 PSU Bypassing
I have still-stock 🙁 Philips CD50 (mfg date January 1990) that looks very similar inside. Same main board, plus another board mounted on right side with Variable Volume RCA outs.
I know this may not be the correct thread, but for bypassing of +5V rail on SAA7220 what would be better: Black Gate NX 33u/16v, Black Gate NX 220u/6.3v, Panasonic FC 220u, or OSCON SP series? Are OSCONs still being manufactured?

OSCONS are still in production... And they are industry accepted, don't know if this applies to Blackgate aswell ... 🙄
weissi,
the sanyo web site show several series of oscons (SP, SG, SH, SC, SEP, etc...). which ones are best suited for this application (digital rail bypass on SAA7220 and TDA1541) ?
thanks,
Bruce
