Hi to all that might read this thread thanks to martin for providing a schematic and layout drawing would like to just say that this common fault that occurs with this amp seems to be just the 16v zeners in the power supply and can be spotted by overheating discolouration on the solder resist.I replaced both of the offending zeners with 5watt replacements bought of Ebay for about a fiver for 10 which was less than one major supplier of components wanted for P&P.I've now had the amp running on 2 occasions for over 4Hrs each session and no signs of any problems.I'd just like to say I only wish I'd found this forum some years ago as this great little amp has collected dust for to long many tahnks to all that contribute.

Hey, i own the same amp, bought it second hand but i have some issues with it, appart from nearly every pot crackling it also cuts out reguarly and at some point stops completely.

My question, if any of the persons who own the schematic read this would you be willing to email it to me?

Cheers.

Hello,

I've just repaired my TD-70. It would cut in and out and I finally found the large R107 resister had a bad solder joint.

I was wondering if anybody could send me a copy of the schematics for future reference? I know this thread is very old...

Now I just have to rig up a foot switch and swap out the cheap tube for some nice old one I probably have around here....

thanks,

David

Schematics for TD 70

Thanks to everyone for your good advice. I wouldn't have had the nerve to do this without your backup. I haven't had the time to test the zener out of circuit but I've ordered some replacements just in case.

Hi Larry,
Maybe mine is a bit different. The heaters seem to be fed from the yellow wires in the picture. The wires come directly from the transformer and are 6.3 VAC.

The Schematic is 1.25MB and I'd be happy to mail it to anyone that's interested.

Thanks again,
Martin. 🙂

Please send me the Schematics for TD 70
