Hi
Anyone have a service manual for CV A200 amp.
The only one that i found on the net is by a company that doesn´t answer their email.
Would be very thankful if anyone can provide a schematic.
The previous ovner has tried to modify it with a "not so fantastic" result
3 different types of transistors and different resistor on the 2 channels so would be good to now what should be there.

At Free Diagrams, Schematics and Service Manuals I found a CV A400. Propably similar to the A200 but higher output power. E
Hi Mickeymoose
Looks like it is the same topology just 4 instead of 8 output transistors.
Mine has a few changed to MJ15024/mj15025
Has to check if theyre the same as original.
Thanks for taking your time.

Replaced all transistors to MJ15024/MJ15025, replaced the emitter resistors and it´s ALIVE !!
That was the good part of this weekend my other PA was out on a party and the Altec 9444a vent nuclear and died looks like a lightning has hit it.
The drivetransistors has exploded and so has 3 emitter resistors i see expensive investments in transistors coming up!!
Anyone with a 9444 or 2 that you want to part with ??

Maybee you should get more powerfull amps! Mind you, I can hear them from here, and I am at the Westcoast of Canada.

My stuff is sadly the victim of to many bailingwire repairs and the budget is not up to some major investments.
I do repair for other small companies and they let me have their dead equipment
Right now i´m trying to figure out how to get my hands on some nice mid/high drivers for beermoney to make some new 15" tops.
As soon as i find the end of the rainbow life gets easy

Flathead:
If they give you their old stuff why not do something with it.
With old power amps the mains transformer and rectifier/electrolytics are mostly OK. You have some good heatsinks and chassis to work with.
Replace the electronics. There are ample circuits and designs to accommodate allmost any need on this site.
And don't stop chasing the rainbow! E

That´s what i'm doing.
Not building the amp from scratch but making 1 out of 2-3 or so(if they´re easy repairs i don´t get them for free)
Right now the speakers are sadest part around with mismatching elements due to semiserious reconing and cheap replacement horns.
I managed to "nicely" repair 4 JBL 15" and are now trying to figure out how to best use them in 4 single 2-way or 2 2x15 then comes the chase for good mid/high drivers and choosing topology for the cabinett.
Right now 4 hornloaded speakers seems like the most appeling solution but i´m open for suggestions.

Regarding the schematic for the CC A200 amp, why do You not try looking into the Homepage of Jan Dupont?
He has it! I scanned it myself!
Well, I have it! Soeren Poulsen
