Hi all,
I have an EI transformer out of an APC 600 ups that I have scavenged that gives 2 single secondaries of 14 & 26 volts when used in reverse. If I get another broken UPS of the same model off e-bay I am looking to wire them as a 26-0-26. Can anyone see any problems with this?
Also I am assuming (hoping) that both secondaries are similar VA ratings to allow them to be used in various models i.e. 14v for the smaller units & 26 for the larger units with 2 batteries in series.
The thing weighs a few kilos so should be able to source a few amps for a 35v supply for a P3a.
Any advice appreciated as all my hobbies are funded on a shoestring until their merits are proven to "THE BOSS"
Cheers
