For mini desktop setup with a 10" subwoofer to augment above 90hz.
Will 10f/8424g02-4 work in a small transmission line?
cabinet as narrow as possible and flat response down to 100hz?
Define 'small'..........I get ~8 L net = 110 cm^2 x 72.85 cm long. Import the attached file to view in HR's Loudspeaker Wizard.

To me 1.2 liter is small (as the Madisound specified vented box V) but I can go up to 4 Liters if that brings any benefit. I am not going for deep bass. Just need the best sound down to 110hz.
Sealed 2L is OK but I'm trying to get more output with least compromise. So I'm willing to build both TL or reflex and a sealed box.

OK, reducing 110 cm^2 to 55 cm^2 = 4 L, which barely gets to 110 Hz, i.e. will need a 110 Hz/4th order XO.

GM,
So is this a reflex box or TL of 4L? How would you recommend to model the TL and figure out driver placement port size, etc -- if it is TL you are referring to?

Can't you load HR to view? It's what you asked for, a simple TL [simmed as a straight tube, no vent with a MJK 0.349 offset driver for smoothest response].

New driver on the block...
Well not a new driver actually, another option that you might explore if you haven't got the 10F yet - it is the Visaton B80.
XRK971 has been doing some experiments with the B80 in his RS225+10F FAST/WAW design, and the results (both measured and subjective) have been positive.

GM, thanks for giving me a jump start with this TL design and Hornresp. I've played around with tuning and it seems that a tapered TL does not bring anything to the table. Am I missing something or in real life the tapered TL sounds better?
Your both designs with the straight TL seem to be the sweet spot.

Tapered TL gives lower tuning for same length and volume as straight line. Not that it matters here since you only want 100Hz. It also has a better impedance flattening aspect if damped correctly. The sound is is better IMO - more TL like (more articulate) and less BR like (sloppy).
