Scan Speak R2904/7000 housing

I am fitting Scan Speak R2904/7000 tweeters into my 50mm baffle.

I am proposing to cut out a chamber to 45mm making a small airtight enclosure slightly larger that the tweeter.

Is this a good idea, or do the R2904/7000s need to breath at the rear?
