OMG... While yea, I know determining a cabinet volume is a tricky buisness, I am lost on this..
Scan Speaks Toolbox needs values that the spec sheet for this speaker says a - so I dont know what to put and 0 does not work.
So...
What I want to do is get a general idea of the volume min/max I will need and then I have a way to vary this once the cabinet is done and measure / sweep and see what volume is best..
BUT I need to know what a minimum / maximum wold be for this driver..\
I would prefer to be able to caculate this myself, but this being a small driver I dont trust the caculators I found on line for car audio.

I understand the xover and all that matters obviously, but if I can get a general range for box volume I would be happy...

If i understand you correctly - you are trying to work out an optimum cabinet size for a particular driver? Well if thats the case, try Unibox calc sheet here - its very easy to use, you can input values manually from the scanspeak data sheets or search its own database which may or may not already have the driver you're concerned with so you wont need to manually input values.

Hmmm.... Your "here" link was not a actual link. The site you lised had a lot of stuff on it but im not sure its one of the ones your discussing..
Its my understanding that doing a small box aith a small driver 5-1/4" is more tricky then a large woof..
I plan on starting with MDF to play with the box and then once I am sure of what i am doing getting some Corian cut and make the whole box /bracing out of it..
My drivers, crossover and tweeter acoustic lens assm all came from a set of YG Acoustics Anat Reference 2's which i upgraded for a client and I got to keep the old stuff. The crossovers are quite nice. I am replicating the YG Design. Well I am making mini-monitors from the top section.

My general cabinet design ideas so far. I am making it so I can move a block forward and back in the cavity for each mid-bass to tune it.

I would have to reverse engineer the xover to figure that out, is that nessary to work out the cabinet volume ?

I am reverse engineering the xovers. Nice parts..
Tweeter Xover. Lots of parts. The schematic is not normal. Im gonna have to ponder this one a bit..

I have used this same driver with much success in 15L (1/2 cu.ft.) box. F3 in a closed box will be around 60 hz. With a vented alighment, closer to 40. hz.
