Nice work! You put lots of work and love into this project.
soundimports.eu has similar thickness wire aircore for similar price, so the drivers + xo parts + binding posts + delivery probably will be less than 150 EUR with VAT for both speakers. Not bad

I'm planning on posting the details of the build next week when I'm back from visiting family. I'll put a link in this thread. Even if you go with the 5" driver it might still give you a starting point to start tweaking from.
@tigeranand I went for different completely route on this one - chose much more expensive SICA 5.5 inch coax as I wanted to try coax and built some 3d prototypes of the box.
So only can say how SICA speaker sounds:
Pros
+It has that magic feel of single point source without the typical negatives of similar size fullrange. Definitely different experience from fullrange or typical 2-way
+Woofer is pleasant in its operating range.
+Can listen on different distances, especially on short ones from 1m distance to typical 1.5-3m
+Very very good, I could say almost perfect directivity you can expectdue to coax nature and 3d printed box
+Driver itself is visually nice. Really nice! Looks esthetic and really good!
+Still can be EQable most of its range.
Cons
-It is not a woofer. More of a midwoofer. It is ok-ish in BR tuned to ~60-65Hz , but not perfect. I am not using subwoofer at the moment, but from 100-150Hz it could be much better. Or even from 300-500Hz
-I don't like midrange of this driver. 1000-3000Hz is not very good. Tried all the possible crossovers, all the slopes, helps keeping ~1dB down. Smth like BBC dip
-Tweeter is capricious - it is not the perfect timbre and has some peaks which you can hear. Big peak at ~11kHz needs to be tamed with extra notch filter - with it is is much much better
