The 12in 12" SB34NRX75-6 is not a good choice for an open baffle because of his too high Cms.
Can someone explain why a high CMS isn't good for an open baffle? Even if the speaker suspension is very compliant won't the driver still be controlled by electrical means (QES)?
Yes, you can find them on Linkwitz's old website. Just search online for those file names and you will find them.my ask, are Xlbaffle.xls and spl_max.xls spreadsheets available to simulate open baffle responses before I can build them?
I had same question. Can someone explain why a high CMS isn't good for an open baffle? Even if the speaker suspension is very compliant won't the driver still be controlled by electrical means (QES)?
Cms only not define usability in OB. Important is also what are Mms, BL and what Qts they define all together.
