Satori TX in line array "Moelva"

In progress: 3-way line array consisting of:
12 e,a, Satori 5" MW13TX-8 in cardioide, power tapered in 3 steps
Satori TW29BNWG tweeter
6 e.a Wavecor SW182BD03 7"rear subwoofers in closed box /EQ
Hypex 503 integrated at bottom rear in column.
Dummy-box is tested and revised a couple of times..
Will it sink or will it flow ;-)

given the shape, there is a focal point that the signals from all drivers reach with the same path length, i.e the radius of the curve. I think that means you need to have your head at the right height.

Other than that, which turn out to be too much vertical directivity, there should be good vertical directivity to make it relatively immune to floor and ceiling reflections.

Horizontal directivity will decrease with frequency based on the size of the drivers It looks like there is a waveguide for the tweeter to match its H to the mids above and below it.

Looks like it "should" work.

Thanks Wesayso & nc535 . Tweeter (with wave guide) is positioned in ear height and mids low pass to 300hz and 600hz is symmetrical to tweeter axis. Measurements to come. Listening position will not be at the focal point, but more near the speaker where the listening window is about 0,5m height. At this position we measure and dial in in the house curve by DSP. For cardioide, you might see the same part in a "Sigberg" cardioide development thread.

so the tweeter is a coax? with side vents for cardioid? even better!
Several years ago I explored a ton of vituix simulations looking for the best way of embedding a tweeter in a line array. Back then I hadn't learned how to do cardioid and I hadn't found a coax I considered smooth enough in the HF. So I never considered what you are doing here. Now cardioid coax is my favorite thing but I think I'm going to settle for a bookshelf version.

1)Where is the tweeter?
2)Why 1st order IIR HP@75Hz and IIR LP@200Hz?
The tweeter is at the center of column, connected to Hypex xo at 2000 hz 1.st order
The 6 subwoofers at rear are connected to Hypex XO at 75 hz 1.st order (preliminary base points).
(The Hypex FusionAmp FA503 (500W+500W+100W, Ncore) is a 3-way DSP plate amp)
The set points and orders may be altered after measurements and listening sessions.
As you already might have guessed, not very unlike to example Buchardt S500 & Dutch and Dutch 8C.
We also concider a rear tweeter, not very sure about that yet.

Yes, the first two mids (75-2000 hz) near tweeter at the front have 3 cardioide ports at each side where one is located at the front.
The next two mids (75- 600 hz) have two ports located at each side.
The last 8 mids (4+4, 75-300 hz) have one port at each side per driver.
Inner damping pads are PET based (40 kg/m3) from HVAC sound attenuator industry. We are now determining the thickness and layers.
