Hello everyone,

I would like to ask your opinion about these 2 tweeters.
All of them are excellent on paper, can be crossed at about 2kHz 12dB/oct, have high-output and the price difference is not an issue. Which one would you prefer and why? Have you tried any of them?

Thanks for your time

ps. I have used the highest price Scanspeak revelator ring radiator R2904/7000 so far. How does it compare to these two(Soundwise)?

ps2. I think that this is an interesting thread, please comment if you know- it helps!

During last 3-4 years I worked with TW29RN, TW29DN, 6600 (with and without WG), 7100 in WG148R and 7000 in WG148R. I intentionally state using of WG as I think it has significant impact on impression and overall sound. I did not make side by side comparison so it is difficult to compare them but I collected some basic characteristics.

1. I prefer waveguided tweeters. Even basic, non optimized WG like WG148R is very beneficial and is positive for the overall sound.
2. Satori tweeters are very easy to work with and to listen. They are generally full bodied, maybe darker sounding compared to Scan Speaks. In 3-4 cases I used them as replacement for cheaper tweeters I was not happy with and it solved the problem.
3. Scan speak tweeters are generally detailed and has the spark, but I find them harder to tune in the speaker as they may sound sharper if left too hot.
4. 7000 sounds smother/milder/lighter than 6600 and 7100
5. I haven't tried TW29BN yet. I think it would measure quite well in Jantzen WG. I measured TW29DN in Jantzen WG and it is good.
