I bought a Pink Triangle Cardinal Transport for repair off ebay. The seller said it is powering on but it is not reading CDs properly. I also bought a new Sanyo SF-91 laser pickup. Will swapping the laser heads cure the problem?
Who know the model naming of the associated mechanism and who know, in which SANYO models it was in use ?
This mechanism incl. this laser head was in use e. g. in Cambridge Audio's CD-4, CD-6 and CDT and in Linn's IKEMI.

If you choice the Filter under
https://vasiltech.narod.ru/CD-Player-DAC-Transport.htm
you will note, that no SANYO single cd player model was mentioned - maybe because only hifi systems and ghetto blasters from SANYO use this mechanism.
This was the case with Hitachi's HOP-M3, only in use in Denon UCD hifi systems and not in single cd player from DENON
P.S.: from my view SF-91 was one of the most reliable laser unit (and longest life time).
